Willow Park Golf Course - Local Rules

The rules, as set forth are to be used in all WPMC tournaments and hopefully by all members playing at Willow Park in every day play. The “Local Rules” are designed to speed up play and define areas of questions where stakes are not present. Please follow the applicable USGA rule for procedures and steps when executing said rule. When in doubt finish the hole playing two balls. Record both scores then present the case to the tournament committee before signing the score card for a final ruling.

Hole # 1
üThe creek going down the entire right side of the hole is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe horse trail is to be played as “Ground Under Repair”
üThe inside fence and railing on the left is to be played as an Obstruction.
üThe outside fence is considered a border defining beyond as “Out of Bounds”
üThe ditch on the left of the cart path all the way up to the out of bound fence is played as a “Drainage Ditch”
üA ball hit onto the hill on the left and below the out of bounds fence is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”. This rule applies all the way down the left side extending past the green.

Hole # 2
üThe creek on the left of the tee box going past the first bridge extending to the first tree on the left side of the creek facing the green is to be played as a “Water Hazard”.
üFrom the tree described above extending past the green the creek is to be played as a “Lateral Water   Hazard”.
üA ball hit into the wilderness down the left side of the hole extending all the way past the green is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”

Hole # 3
üThe creek down the right side of the tee box to the bridge crossing to the 7th hole is to be played as a “Lateral Hazard”
üThe creek between the bridge on the right crossing to the 7th hole and the first bridge on the left is to be played as a “Water Hazard”.
üThe creek from the first bridge on the left extending past the green is to be played as a “Lateral Hazard”.
üThe hill and wilderness area down the left side of the tee box extending to the 4th tee box is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”

Hole # 4
üThe hill and wilderness area running down the entire left side of the hole extending past the green is to be played as a “Possible    Lost” Ball
üThe ditch in front of the tee box is to be played as a “Drainage Ditch”
üThe creek running down the right side of the hole is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe ditch crossing the fairway near the 150 yard maker is to be played as a “Drainage Ditch”
üThe creek behind the green extending around the 6th tee box is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”

 Hole # 5
üThe creek on the left of the tee box extending around the front of the tee box to the first bridge is to be   played as a “Water Hazard”
üThe creek from the first bridge extending past the green is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe wilderness area left and extending behind the green is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe road is “Out of Bounds” defined by the fence

Hole # 6
üThe area below the fence down the left and extending behind the green is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe road is “Out of Bounds” defined by the fence.
üThe creek left of the tee box extending around the front of the tee box to the first bridge is to be played as a “Water Hazard”
üThe creek from the first bridge down the right extending past the green is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe ditch behind the green is to be played as a “Drainage Ditch”

Hole # 7
üThe area between the fence and the cart path on the left side extending past the green is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe road is “Out of Bounds” defined by the fence.
üThe creek on the right is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”

Hole # 8
üThe creek down the right is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe area between the fence and service road on the left extending past the green is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe road is “Out of Bounds” defined by the fence

Hole # 9
üThe creek down the right extending to the entrance road is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe road is “Out of Bounds” defined by the fence
üThe area between the fence and service road on the left extending past the green is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe ditch crossing the fairway near the 200 yard maker is to be played as a “Drainage Ditch”
üThe horse trail is to be played as “Ground Under Repair”
üThe inside fence and railing behind the green is to be played as an Obstruction.
üThe outside fence is considered a border defining anything beyond as “Out of Bounds”

Hole # 10
üThe creek in front around to the left extending to the pump (pipe sticking up) is to be played as a “Water Hazard”
üThe ditch on the left from the pump (pipe sticking up) to an imaginary line formed by extending the front edges of the two green side bunkers to the creek will be played as “Out of Bounds”
üThe creek from the imaginary line of the bunkers around back of the green will be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”. Anything landing on the other side of the creek will be played as “Out of Bounds”
üThe wilderness area left of the tee box will be played as “Out of Bounds”

Hole # 11
üThe creek on the left, crossing in front of the tee box extending to the 2nd bridge that crosses to the 16th fairway will be played as a “Water Hazard”
üThe creek from the bridge mentioned above crossing to the 16th fairway extending past the 16th tee box will be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe hill and wilderness area down the left side will played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe wilderness area left and around the back of the green will be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe ditch crossing the fairway is played as a “Drainage Ditch”

Hole # 12
üThe ditch down the left side starting near the 150 yard maker will be played as a “Drainage Ditch”
üThe hill and wilderness area down the entire left side extending left of the ditch past the green will be played as “Out of Bounds”
üThe wilderness area behind and to the right of the green will be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe ditch(s) that crosses the fairway will be played as “Drainage Ditches”
üThe ditch between the 13th tee box and the 12th green is to be played as a “Drainage Ditch”
üThe area between the 13th tee box and 12th green during the rainy season is a collection are and will be played as possible “Casual Water”

Hole # 13
üThe “Blue” tee area is defined by drawing a line from the blue tee marker to the 150 yard pole in the 14th fairway.
üThe “White” tee area is defined by drawing a line from the white disk marker to the ball washer
üThe creek in front of the tee ground will be played as a “Water Hazard”
üThe wilderness area down the left side extending around and in back of the hole is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe fence defines the “Out of Bounds”

Hole # 14
üThe fence down the left side defines the “Out of Bounds”
ü The creek in front of and extending left to the bridge crossing to the 15th tee and right to Lake Chabot will be played as a “Water Hazard”.
üThe creek past the bridge crossing to the 15th tee will be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”

Hole # 15
ü“Blue” tee area is defined by drawing a line from the blue disk marker to the 150 yard pole in the 14th fairway. (Yes the same one used for defining 13)
üThe Creek in front of the tee box extending to the first tree on the left of the fairway across the creek will be played as a “Water Hazard”
üThe creek down the left side and to the left of the green is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üThe wilderness area on the left extending to the green is to be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üDebris may be dropped left of the green. You are entitled to a free drop from this if your group is reasonably certain your ball is located in the debris.

Hole # 16
ü“Blue” tee area is defined by drawing a line from the blue disk marker to the water fountain located behind the 15th green.
üThe creek on the left of the tee box to the first bridge is to be played as a “Water Hazard”
üBeyond the first bridge the creek is to be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard.
üThe fence behind the green is to be played as an “Obstruction” You are allowed relief from the obstruction if it interferes with your stance or swing. You are not allowed line of site relief

Hole # 17
üThe fence protecting the 16th green is played as an “Obstruction” You are allowed relief from the obstruction if it interferes with your stance or swing. You are not allowed line of site relief.
üIf your ball comes to rest on or right of  the service road located on the other side of the 18th fairway extending to the Blue marker on the 18th tee box, it will be deemed as “Out of Bounds”
üRight of the Blue marker on the 18th tee extending past the 17th green will be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe wilderness area behind the 17th green will be played as a possible “Lost Ball”
üThe creek down the left side will be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”

Hole # 18
üIf your ball comes to rest on or left of the service road, on or left of the maintenance buildings or on the pavement of the maintenance area it will be deemed as “Out of Bounds”
üThe parking lot from the chain link maintenance yard fence to the driving range will be deemed as “Out of bounds” The wooden post connecting the chain fence continuing along the driving range fence to the creek designates the out of bounds.
üThe creek behind the green from the driving range fence to the bridge crossing to the 10th tee is to be played as a “Water Hazard”
üThe creek from the bridge crossing to the 10th tee continuing around and down the length of the 10th fairway will be played as a “Lateral Water Hazard”
üA ball hit beyond any part of the creek between the driving range fence to the end of the 10th tee box will be played as “Out of Bounds”
